Dexter 5x08
This show is going to kill me. And yes, I realize the, uh, humor of that statement. But seriously. Things are soooo fucked how are you going to get out of this one Dexter? And WHY has it not occurred to you that people might notice a strange woman living in your house? Going to kill me. Seriously.
I also nearly jumped out of my seat when Cole burst through the door. I mean, I was expecting it but still. Fucking hell. This show makes me swear a lot. Yeah, Quinn's not the only one starting to sound like Deb.
And by the way, I fucking love Debra Morgan. And Jennifer Carpenter. Just, holy crap, so awesome. I also love Maria unabashedly, and Angel tambien. One of my favorite moments in the whole show was back in the second season, when Dexter said to Angel that if he could be anyone else, he would want to be Angel. And Angel was just like "um...okay" but it was awesome.
I'm loving Lumen, but I really, really do not want a relationship between her and Dexter. I'm trusting the writers though not to go there. I will be very upset if they break that trust.
I'm curious if this might be the last season. Five is a nice number. Not that I necessarily want the show to end or anything. I just want them to go out on their own terms. While I don't think they're in any danger of being axed (maybe stabbed--don't you just love my Dexter-related killing jokes?) I just have a lot of respect for a show that voluntarily ends after a certain number of seasons. Don't keep going just because you can, you know?
I'm also wondering if Astor and Cody will come back. I want Dexter to stay in contact with them at the very least. Even though those child actors are not so great.
I always need extended recovery time after this show.
