I read this once before, a while back. I didn't R&R then because, being new to LJ, I didn't know that the comments went to our email regardless of how old the original post. So, at the time, it seemed silly to comment.

Just happened to come across this fic again when checking sites I'd bookmarked, and reread it. Now I know why I marked it in the first place. It was great! Painfully awesome in that angsty Kara way I never get enough of.
I stopped following Lost when the Smoke Monster came on the scene(too much suspension of disbelief for me), but I've seen enough over the years to know the basics, and Sayid has always been one of my favorite people on the show. You portrayed him so in character...how he felt it his responsibility to monitor Kara since he viewed her as a threat. And Kara's mini arc of their initial contact, her obsession with the ocean and the stars, and finally your ending on the question 'Are you coming back'. It all was so poignant. Well done!
