How does a military tribunal work?  Who serves as the judges or whatever?  Is there any sort of defense/prosecution?  How long after the crime could the tribunal reasonably take place?  And most importantly, who would have jurisdiction: the Admiral of the Fleet or the CO of the ship (as they are, in this case, different)?

Many thanks to anyone who knows the answers or can point me in the right direction...  I recently returned to my old plotfic only to hit a stumbling block.  I need like a military wiki or something.  (Oh man, I just googled "military wiki" and there is one but my "military tribunal" search got no results)

In unrelated news, I recently purchased season one of Doctor Who (for 10 soles!  That's like $3.50!) and amused myself yesterday by reading the Spanish subtitles in the episode "Dalek."  For the most part, they were pretty accurate, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why the Doctor would repeatedly call the Dalek "lechuga" (lettuce).  Just...what?

Also, I think I watched Back to the Future in Spanish yesterday.  I missed the beginning, and didn't know what I was watching until I heard them say Dollorien.  I don't know what I was expecting, but...really?  This is the movie so many people are obsessed with?  I'll stick to my DW/lechuga.
