Picspam: Lee and Kara in season 4.5

shah_of_blahAKA I have BSG on the brain and time on my hands. I was having a minor pilots panic attack yesterday, and in an effort to recover my zen I've made a random picspam of all Lee/Kara interaction in 4.5. taragel was lamenting the lack of L/K action on lj, and I will never again have the chance to post something bsg-related in which the outcome is unknown, so I figured I'd better come up with something before Friday.

The story so far: is too long and complicated for me to summarize. You all know it anyway. We’re picking up with them all being shellshocked about Earth and whatnot.
Kara wanders off with Leoben and finds her decomposing body. Fans freak out.
Lee goes on a date with his sort-of-ex-wife. Fans freak out. Then she shoots herself, and fans freak out for other reasons.
Then Kara pops up in Lee’sbedroom ship, and fans rejoice in the fact that they are having a scene together! Kara has come to tell Lee about all the crazy shit she’s going through, but when she realizes that he’s going through some shit of his own, she changes her mind. Alas, the rest of the scene is deleted (there was more, right?) so we can only assume that Kara comforts Lee even though there probably isn’t any kissing.
Then pilots go their own way for awhile, and fans are sad. Lee is sort of the president, but nobody really knows.
Kara is bitchy.
Then the mutiny happens and all is well in the shipper world for a little while. Kara saves Lee’s ass, very dramatically.
Next they make out, although briefly and probably without tongue, and Lee mostly seems confused.
Lee is less confused as they mutually engage in gun-porn and ass-kicking.
Pilots are still in the business of being awesome together when Kara’s husband goes and gets himself shot in the head, most unfortunately.
Kara is freaked out. Lee is afraid to leave her behind, with or without her husband, but Kara wears the pants in this relationship so he goes off to savehis daddy the ship the fleet.
Kara spends a lot of time with Sam, and shippers freak out a little bit and try to convince themselves that she still doesn’t love Sam, but he’s got a bullet in his brain so somebody ought to be sticking with him because they care about him and not just because said bullet-in-the-brainpan seems to have unlocked his super secret cylon stuff.
Meanwhile, Lee is being semi-presidential.
Then Kara and Lee stand next to each other and wish that they could get as much screentime as the Tighs. Fans agree.
Then we get a whole episode about Kara, which is great, except that Lee’s not in it. Still, the Gen Kara episode is very nice and look, pretty pictures!
Then Kara’s Deep Dark Secret gets revealed and she is mostly concerned with how Lee’s going to take it. Lee is mostly just concerned for her and mad as hell at Gaius Baltar.
He tells her he knows who she is. She’s Kara Thrace, and he does not care what she is as long as she is right here by his side. He touches her face in a very non-platonic way and says “see you around” and consequently makes fans freak out ALL OVER AGAIN. But Kara is happy and zen and so am I.
We all flashback to Lee and Kara’s first meeting because this is clearly vital to the show. It is immediately evident that something’s going to develop between them, but for now there’s a great big Zak-sized thing in their way. But Zak is hot, so many fans are okay with this. Everyone in this scene is very pretty and happy and innocent because they have no idea what’s in store for them.
Lee and Gaius have a showdown. Lee’s mad because Gaius was mean tohis girlfriend Kara. Gaius asks if everything has to be about Lee’s feelings for Kara. Fans ask what ship Gaius has been on all this time. (Get it? Ship? Aren’t you all astounded by my wit?)
Meanwhile, lots of dramatic stuff happens but the most important part is that Lee is the first to cross the line, and for once he chooses Kara over his duty or whatever. I’m not sure if that’s right or smart but it makes me happy. Sadly I could not find the cap that I wanted, but I also didn’t look too hard, so...anyway. Look, Lee's walking towards Kara!
NOW...perhaps there will be kissing or more flashbacks (possibly involving drunken shenanigans) and perhaps bad things will happen but Lee and Kara are the future leaders of the fleet, so please to be thinking positive thoughts.
