My TV shows, they are back!  I just typed "shoes" instead of "shows," by the way, so my TV shoes are also back, whatever that means.

Glee: This show is so not good, and yet I loved it anyway.  I have just one bone to pick though: the way they're writing Rachel.  I don't like it.  Rachel used to be awesome.  Okay, so she was bossy and controlling and kind of mean and nobody liked her.  Whatever.  She was a talented young woman who knew she was talented.  She had dreams and she was going to achieve them.  And that was awesome, because there aren't so many girls like that on television.

But now?  This was awful.  For one thing, the "oh you don't speak English?" thing was just horrid.  Not funny at all.  Don't do that.  Are you trying to make everyone hate the protagonist?  It really seems like it.  And then there's everything else with Sunshine.  The Rachel I knew didn't feel threatened.  By anyone.  'Cause she's Lea fricking Michele and she's got the voice of a Broadway star.  It just annoys me greatly that the writers feel the need to demonize a woman with ambition.

Chuck: That was divine!  Oh gosh, I loved it so much.  I love Chuck and Sarah and their steady relationship-ness.  See, TV writers?  It is possible to get your OTP together and keep them together and still be fun.
Other things that I loved:
-The flying all over the world just to get back to LA and then subsequently going into debt.
-The Repo Man.  I had flashbacks to Repo Man (not to be confused with Repo! or Repo Men).
-All the "you missed him" stuff with Casey.  Reminded me of Murray from Flight of the Conchords.  All, "Do you miss him?"  "No."  "You miss him?"  "No."  "Just a little?"  "Maybe a little."  (Okay, maybe it's funnier if you've seen it)
-Linda Hamilton.
-General Beckman!  And the new CIA Buy More girl.  Possibility of scoring a little better on the ol' Bechdel Test?  Yes please.

-Re: Ellie.  While I am happy for her, I'm also a bit concerned.  I just don't want her to be reduced to the wife/sister/mother role the way she was last season.  Please to be remembering that she is a doctor too, okay?  Okay?

I hate Chuck's new haircut.  Just saying.

I totally agree about the Rachel thing! I didn't really buy that either. But it seemed like they amped everything up--I mean, Sue was definitely worse, too (but in the best way :P )

Yeah, it's not just that it was angry-making but also that it was out of character. Rachel didn't use these weird schemes before (er, well, except for when she got Sandy kicked out...)

Sue was over the top of course, but then she always is. :P

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO MUCH THIS!

I hate the way they write Rachel. Sigh. I enjoyed everything else well enough (except maybe a boob job for Santana? That's the best they could come up with?) And I really liked the new coach.

*nods* I enjoyed everything else too, except the boob job--just seemed off. Santana was the hottest thing around and she knew it. Seemed like they were just reaching for straws. I like Beiste though, and I'm pleased to see another take-charge woman.

I just watched Chuck last night and I love it! I forgot how much I missed Morgan and Casey. The bits about Casey missing Chuck were awesome because he would say no and in the end there would be little nod.

General Beckman is in civvies is going to be great fun! I wonder when we'll see the Jefster.

I think Ellie's is going to be a recurring role now but I do hope that they don't turn her into the stereotypical role.

I don't like Chuck's super secret spy haircut either.

I know! Morgan and Casey were so good! And I'm looking forward to seeing Beckman pretend to be the manager of a Buy More...

I wonder when we'll see the Jefster.
I was wondering that too. I actually thought, for a few seconds, that Lester was going to be the one sitting in the Manager's chair.

OMG!! I had the same exact thought till the chair turned, that would have been kind of awesome!
