So I wrote this fic after the finale. It goes AU during a certain scene, but it might not make you feel any better about what happened.  You have been warned.  In a very strange way though, it did help me deal.  So who knows!

Yeah, new fic!  Woohoo!  And not only is this my longest bsg fic to date (clocking in around 2500 words) but it's also my first bsg fic in past tense!  That makes me happy because past is my preferred tense but bsg usually makes me write present against my will, and then there's much confusion and shifting of verb tenses.  Oh, but funny thing about this story--every time I see the title I hear "Without Love" from Hairspray in my head, which is not at all appropriate.

Battlestar in less than 12 hours!  This isn't exactly bsg fic, but bsg is among the fandoms represented....  I started writing this thing at least a year ago, and I just decided to finish the damn thing tonight.  I can only think of, say, 2 people besides me who are familiar with all of these fandoms, but I think Buffy's the only really essential one, although the bsg scene makes even less sense than the others if you haven't seen Maelstrom.

AN: When I watched Measure of Salvation, I was disappointed that we didn’t get to see this.  And so I went looking for a fanfiction version, and didn’t find one.  So I wrote my own.  Love feedback of any kind.  Slightly modified from the ff.net version, thanks to comments from Civil Orange.  I don't like the title, but I couldn't think of a better one.
