Just keep walking, preacher-man
Jun. 6th, 2010 05:46 pmWeekly TV in five words or less:
Glee: Weirder than usual.
Doctor Who: Awesome! Better than last week.
Clearly, I have so much to say about television that I need a separate blog just for these scintillating posts. And, moving on! I am almost done with this 30 Days meme.
Day 24. Best quote
I don't like these broad categories like "best scene" or "best quote," but here's a quote that I really like. Most of you will know what it's from. It's directed at one of my OTPs, and pretty accurately describes another...
"You're not friends. You'll never be friends. You'll be in love until it kills you both. You'll fight, and you'll shag, and you'll hate each other till it makes you quiver but you'll never be friends. Love isn't brains, children. It's blood. Blood screaming inside you to work its will. I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it."
Day 25. A show you plan on watching (old or new)
Well. People say Modern Family is really good. I'm also sort of idly planning to pick up Parks and Recreation. And I'm told I ought to watch The West Wing, but I haven't gotten around to it yet (a new show--especially a long-running one--just takes so much time). And some day I think I'll give the old Who a try. Also maybe Caprica. I've considered trying Farscape or Babylon 5 but I just don't know if I can handle it. I keep trying to pretend I'm not really that much of a nerd (it's a losing battle). Excerpt from a conversation I had a few weeks ago:
(on the nerd quotient of Babylon 5)
Me: The fact that I know what it is already makes me a nerd, but even I am not nerdy enough to watch it.
Friend: ... You have a door that looks like the TARDIS.
Me: Okay. It's possible that I'm nerdy enough to watch B5.
This post has no substance to it. Carry on.
