Oh gosh, this show. No wonder I couldn't remember!

I may have to check out that novel even though I'm not much for fantasy or sci-fi novels. But they seem like a compelling ship. And they were 13? Wow!
Well, 13 by the end. I think Lyra's 11 or 12 in the first book. It's been a few years since my last re-read...but I love those books so much. And, I dunno, they're not really hard fantasy. I mean, there's witches and other worlds (LOTS of other worlds) but it's not like people with funny names riding around on dragons all the time. It's actually kind of an atheist (but still very spiritual) version of Paradise Lost...only for young adults. But it's also an adventure story and a love story and a growing up story.
