...but then I totally did.

We're only five minutes in, but I already think that we're back to original flavor Glee and I am so glad.  Underdogs.  And their naive, well-intentioned coach.  With his guidance counselor confidante.  And the conniving cheerleading coach.

"It'll take you a second to remember everyone's names."  Yes, especially Mike's and Matt's.

Journey medley?  All I can think of is that fandom!secret today.

"Oral Intensity?"  Really?

Finn's dancing!  Hahaha.  Poor boy looks confused.

Is this the season finale?  I should know these things.

OMG Puck singing.  I officially love this episode.  Also totally love Artie's hair.
WHAT is Finn doing.  Seriously.  It looks like he's doing jumping jacks.
And who is that blond woman who is neither Sue nor Olivia Newton-John?  Oh, she's Quinn's mom.
Oh my god ARE YOU SERIOUS.

Well, Glee had to do Bohemian Rhapsody eventually.  I'm just glad we get Jonathan Groff doing it rather than Cory Monteith.
Oh tell me she's not having the baby right now.  Please somebody tell me that.  Okay, I give up.

Well, that's sad but come on.  It's not over.

She's either going to convince Quinn to keep the baby, or adopt Beth herself.  Please let it be the latter.  I just don't want to see Ryan Murphy's attempt at tackling teenage parenthood.

So I actually stopped liveblogging because my computer ran out of batteries, but I still quite liked the episode.  Totally cheesy and a bit predictable, but it was more old school Glee.

And yes, I did catch on to the fact that it was totally the finale.

Although I still have two (completely insignificant) complaints:
1. Sue voted for New Directions.  Yes, obviously.  But it sure sounded like Josh Groban was going to vote for them too.  In which case, they would have had 2 out of 4 votes.  And with only 4 judges...for them to not even place, they couldn't have had any votes.  I mean, think about it.  Vocal Adrenaline needs at least 2.  Sue voted for New Directions.  That only leaves one other vote for Oral Intensity, in which case ND and OI would be tied for second place.  Somebody please tell me I'm wrong and this makes sense somehow?
2. Puck has totally slept with both Santana and Brittany, so it is just lazy of him to have not yet had a threesome!  Seriously.  Okay, done now.

I am so close to being done with this 30 Days meme!

Day 28. First TV show obsession

Unless you count those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bedsheets I had as a child, it has to be...drumroll please (slash this should come as no surprise)...

I've extolled its virtues here before (I did list it as my favorite series for a reason) but no other obsession has yet reached the intensity of this one.  And I was obsessed from day one.  Back then, I was watching season 6 once a week (on UPN), season 1 once a week (on FOX, I think) and season 3 every day (on FX).  It was a little confusing, as you might imagine.  But this influx only fed my addiction.  My sister and I taped every single episode and rewatched them constantly.  When we didn't have the daily reruns on FX, or had already seen them, or whatever I still could not go a day without watching an episode.  It was bizarre.

Also, I still have all those tapes even though I A) have the DVDs and B) no longer have a VCR.  I just don't know what to do with them.  It seems wrong to throw them away after all the work I put into them.  They were all mixed up and most of them had labels like "Buffy" and "More Buffy" and "Still More Buffy" or, in one memorable case, "Dog Show."  So I took it upon myself to go through every single tape--with all six seasons, mind you, and eventually some of the seventh season as well--and catalogue every single episode.  I did this not once, but twice (because my mother accidentally recycled my first catalogue--oh, there were tears).  And all of this was before I found fandom.

So, yeah.  I was really obsessed.  And then I joined fandom shortly after the series finale.  I think I was in the fandom for about four years.

Day 29. Current t.v show obsession

This should also be obvious.

Or, perhaps more accurately:

I really really really enjoyed Glee. And I liked the editing for BR at the same time that I laughed at it for having Quinn pop that kid out that fast....and then Mercedes and Puck were on stage for the results

Puck has totally slept with both Santana and Brittany, so it is just lazy of him to have not yet had a threesome! Seriously. Okay, done now.

And then Puck was magically back at the hospital! But I did enjoy it, even as I was laughing.

And I think the threesome thing from "Dream On" was a cheap joke and lazy writing. *shakes fist*

Say a first place vote gets 10 points, second place vote gets 7 and third place vote gets 3. It could go like this:

VO got first twice, third once, and second once. Total: 30
OI got second from all four judges. Total: 28
ND got first twice, got third the other two times. Total: 26

What interested me was that Sue voted VO last, perhaps inadvertently giving OI enough points to pass New Directions.

I may be a little too focused on the voting part of this episode haha. I liked the rest of it, but it was definitely predictable. So glad Emma was back around though, ♥

Right, of course. I was forgetting about the 2nd and 3rd options. That is interesting that Sue's vote inadvertently lost them 2nd place.

And yes, Emma was not just back, but back to her awesome self. Such a relief!

It was indeed cheesy and predictable, but I kind of loved it because of the cheesyness.

But I have no idea how the timeline is supposed to go. They all went to the hospital, Quinn popped the baby out, they hurry back to hear the results, Puck hurries back to look at the baby? Or something?

So cheesy, but so fun!

I watched it again today and I *think* Puck wasn't at the ceremony, but I'm not sure. That would make more sense than him rushing to the hospital, rushing back to Regionals, and then back to the hospital...

#2 on your glee complaints made me giggle for like 5 minutes. seeing as i just finished watching. it was fun! very cheesy. but is it just me, or does the non-teenage romance dialogue (aka will and emma) just totally suck? i love glee's music, but the dialogue, etc. makes me lose all willpower to rewatch episodes--because it's either really offensive and usually hilarious (aka sue) or on the bad side of things. : P

It's not just you! Will and Emma are very problematic, I think. I have thoughts on Emma's characterization.
